    FUNCTION:  Assist the Center Director with program control, budget preparation, business operations support, financial reporting, and other related duties for the business team in the Public Health Sciences Group.


    • Assist in the preparation of budgets for proposals and contract modifications; develop budget projections and prepare financial status reports in compliance with contractual requirements, and as requested by the client, internal Program Managers or by Business Ops.
    • Assist with program control through review of monthly updates of budgeted costs for work performed vs. actual incurred costs for work performed. Monthly review of projections for the remainder of the contract period as scope of project changes.
    • Assist with monthly invoice review of Other Direct costs to ensure that all Expense Authorization forms (EAs) submitted during the month have been processed. Will also ensure that electronic copies of submitted EA forms are posted to the Business Operations portal.
    • Assist Project Managers with creation of Subcontract Action Request forms (SARS), associated budgets and Statements of Work for new subcontractors or vendors. Track and report on the status of agreements to ensure that subcontracts and vendor agreements are executed in a timely manner.
    • Assist with compiling documentation and budget information for pre-approval requests Contract Office Authorizations (COAs) such as are required prior to incurring costs for travel, meetings, and adding new subcontractors, consultants and vendors.
    • Meet with Project Managers and Business Operations Manager monthly (or more frequently as needed) to discuss financial status of all task orders and contracts


    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or Finance
    • Four years of experience in a similar position, or equivalent educational background
    • Proficiency with Government Cost Accounting methods and software (such as Deltek’s Costpoint) preferred.
    • Must have high level of analytic proficiency in Excel, and proficiency in Word processing software.
