Provide enterprise class support for the Windows servers and desktops which includes installation, upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting.
Administer and support 900+ Windows servers and desktops within 30+ Active Directory forests in a virtualized, multi-site environment.
Automate tasks and software deployments using Powershell scripts.
Provide software support for in-house and third party enterprise applications (ex: Citrix, BigFix, Symantec EndPoint Protection, IIS, SAS etc.).
Use in-house monitoring system for troubleshooting problems as well as identify trends that need addressing.
Serve as an escalation point for System Administrators.
Evaluate software with respect to the configuration needed for the environment.
Manage and deliver multiple projects and tasks in a timely manner.
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation with the Enterprise team members.
Participate in once-a-month maintenance activities typically performed during weekend hours.
Undergraduate degree and/or equivalent work experience.
At least 3 years desktop and 5 years server experience.
MCSA or MCSE (or equivalent) certification preferred.
CCNA certification optimal.
Experience with FISMA, HIPAA, or SOX compliancy.
Must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong Windows server and desktop knowledge with focus on Windows Server 2016 and Window 10 Enterprise.
Strong Powershell scripting abilities.
Experience managing Windows Group Policies across multiple Active Directory forests.
Experience with VMware particularly using the vCenter Web Sphere Client.
Experience executing projects from start to completion, including creating project plans, creating test plans, training peers, and communicating with stakeholders.
Experience working in a very secure and complex network environment.
Familiarity with networking concepts like VLANs as it relates to server IP addressing.
Experience with enterprise software for virtualization, patching, monitoring, configuration management, antivirus, database management, and backups.
Ability to produce quality documentation.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually with minimum supervision.
