    Social & Scientific Systems (SSS) Center for Health Policy and Data Analysis (HPDA) works to improve health care systems by providing technical, research, and program management services to government, nonprofit, and commercial clients. The SSS HPDA team offers a synergy of expertise in health policy, health data management and analysis, program evaluation and policy analysis.     Candidate will provide technical and research assistance to support work in the area of provider payment policy and alternative payment models. Candidate may be required to work onsite at clients office.


    • Provide research assistance by conducting literature reviews, performing environmental scans, and conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses on issues related to provider payment policy.
    • Interpret, summarize and synthesize health care/policy literature and related data and statistics into usable and actionable formats.
    • Schedule, organize and/or support meetings related to provider payment and alternative payment models and perform related duties, which may include notetaking and preparation of meeting minutes, as well as other logistics or administrative support tasks.
    • Support senior researchers in conducting data and policy analysis.
    • Communicate and collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to fulfill project requirements. 
    • Draft, edit, and/or perform quality control for various deliverables, such as policy briefs, case studies, and manuscripts.
    • Performs additional duties as required.


    Bachelors degree plus 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Strong analytic and organizational skills.
    Knowledge of leading health care policy issues, including the ACA and MACRA, is preferred.
