    Oversees and supports the Business Development efforts for multiple Operating Groups and guides activities in capture management and sales. Manages staff development, supervision, and allocation of department resources.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Develops business plans to ensure alignment with strategic goals of the company while working collaboratively with Operating Group staff
    • Oversees the identification, qualification and pursuit of strategic business opportunities
    • Develops internal cross-organizational relationships and works collaboratively across the enterprise to deliver enterprise-wide results
    • Ensures that capture plans are updated, communicated and on-track for successful implementation
    • Tracks key measurements in sales and business development and ensures Operating Groups have the necessary tools to monitor and track performance
    • Ensures the coordination of cross-organization lead/support and the resolution
    • Provides focus on joint pipeline management and must drive competitor Intel into our capture strategy, PTW, and gate reviews
    • Leads management responsibility for proposal center activities and competitive Intelligence gathering and dissemination
    • Acts as a liaison among senior executives, customers, and teaming partners
    • Develops and maintains business relationships with customers and potential customers

     

    Qualifications

    • 15+ years’ experience driving profitable organic growth for a $100M+ business unit supporting Federal Government clients in the Health Research sector
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline required; Master’s degree preferred
    • Experience in aligning BD investments closely to strategy, account plans, and pipeline‎
    • Demonstrated success developing and implementing organizational, account, and deal strategies
    • Must have demonstrated experience in leading cultural change and transformation efforts
    • Requires the ability to operate with cross-functional resources in a matrix environment.
    • Possesses working knowledge of Federal contracting practices, including experience in all contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, CP)
    • Demonstrated success in a Capture Management role
