Are you eager to learn with a passion for research? Social & Scientific Systems, Inc. (SSS), an employee-owned company, has supported public and private sector health research programs since 1978 in pursuit of our mission to make a difference while improving public health world- wide. We are currently seeking a Research Assistant to serve on a multi-disciplinary team that conducts, analyzes, and reports on findings from epidemiological and clinical studies on behalf of the federal government. Our clients include major federal agencies, such as the NIH, CDC and VA. The studies that we conduct focus on associations between genetic, occupation, lifestyle, and socioeconomic factors and adverse health outcomes. Candidates with prior experience in health research or related fields are encouraged to apply; however, this position could be an excellent opportunity for a new graduate who wants to jumpstart a career in public health in a unique collaborative culture that empowers our people to do their best work.
Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, or related skills required. Excellent verbal communication and organization skills; ability to follow detailed work instructions; strong problem solving and decision making skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work collaboratively; basic experience using MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
