Social & Scientific Systems (SSS) works to improve public health worldwide by providing technical, research, and program management services to government, nonprofit, and commercial clients. The SSS team offers a synergy of expertise in clinical research services, epidemiology and public health studies, health data management and analysis, and program evaluation and policy analysis. Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate recruitment efforts in conjunction with the rest of the study team, including:
    • Review and understand protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria, informed consent forms and study schedules;
    • Recruit volunteers for studies, in a professional manner, clearly and succinctly disseminate approved protocol information to prospective subjects.
    • Create/assist in creation of both generic and study specific ads and recruiting campaigns, in print and in social media, as all advertisements and recruiting materials must meet ethical guidelines;
  • Create study specific recruitment information in privately held volunteer database;
  • Place and maintain advertising (flyers, newspaper, web based ads, list server, etc.).
  • Assist in tracking advertising efforts, placement cost and return for dollars spent;
  • Schedule appointments of prospective research subjects for briefings and screenings; follow-up those who did not keep appointment to either reschedule or closeout the encounter;
  • Create forms, reports, and other documentation;
  • Initiate and implement new venues of advertisement to include approve social media outlets.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in health science preferred; 3 to 5 years of applicable experience. Candidates without direct research experience may be considered.
  • Experience working with the U.S. Army considered a plus.
  • Prior experience with clinical trials preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  • Creative and willing to learn the appropriate regulations related to position.
  • Requires clear verbal communication skills
  • May require working evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.
  • Must be able to work in a team setting.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication, organization and prioritization skills.
